Norma Reyes | Events Minister
Norma Reyes, born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, has dedicated her life to service—through business, philanthropy, and community leadership. She is proud to currently serve as the Events Minister for Rey Feo 78, continuing her long-standing commitment to supporting educational initiatives and Fiesta traditions across the city.
Her career began in the life insurance industry with USAA and John Hancock, followed by several years in tourism, both as a travel agent and a customer service representative for US Air. Most recently, she has played a pivotal role in growing Reyes Industries, the family business she built alongside her husband, Fernando Reyes.
Norma's goals have always centered around empowering others—especially youth—through education, cultural enrichment, and community support. She aspires to leave a legacy of service, leadership, and access to opportunity for the next generation.
Among her most impressive accomplishments are:
Raising a record-breaking $433,160.60 during her husband’s Rey Feo campaign, directly benefiting local scholarships.
Being inducted into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame, a testament to her decades-long contributions to civic life and charitable work.
Serving as an honorary chair for numerous high-profile fundraisers, including the San Antonio Public Library Foundation’s Catrina Ball and the inaugural Alamo Colleges MOSAICO Gala.
Education holds deep meaning for Norma. She views it as the most powerful tool to uplift families and communities. Her advocacy is rooted in personal experience—supporting her husband and three children through their educational journeys, including her daughter’s graduation from law school. In recognition of her dedication to lifelong learning, she received an honorary Associate of Arts degree from Palo Alto College in 2013.
In addition to her family roles, Norma has served on dozens of nonprofit boards and committees, including the Lo Bello Women’s Club, University Hospital Foundation, Museo Alameda, and the San Antonio Fiesta Commission. Her tireless volunteerism has benefited children, healthcare, the arts, and the overall well-being of San Antonians.
Norma Reyes is not only a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother—she is also a champion for her community, proving that one woman’s vision and effort can make a lasting impact.
