Hector Hornedo | Finance Minister

Hector Hornedo was born and raised in Laredo, Texas and moved to San Antonio in 1989 to attend St. Mary’s University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He started his banking career in May 1993 as a credit analyst and has now served as the Regional President for Falcon Bank for the past 10 years, where he oversees the banking operations in San Antonio and Austin.

Hector has been married to his high school sweetheart, Ana, for 30 years, and together they have raised 3 wonderful children – Hector (26) who graduated from Texas Lutheran University and is a middle school PE teacher and coach at St. Matthew Catholic School (where he also attended), Tony (24) who graduated from the The University of Texas at Austin and will be graduating from St. Mary’s Law School in May 2025, and Meli (21) who will be graduating in December 2025 from the University of Texas in San Antonio.

Hector’s hobbies and interests are all surrounded around family and sports. He enjoys taking the family to all kinds of sporting events and his goal is to be able to visit all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums (he needs 10 to go).

Hector is excited to be a part of the court for Rey Feo 77, Dr. Damaso Oliva and the mission to raise funds for scholarships for high school students. He feels strongly that these scholarships will continue to motivate our future leaders to further their education by attending a college or trade school. Education is a vital piece to becoming successful leaders in our community.
