A.B. CRUZ III | Military Minister
A.B. CRUZ III is a retired Navy Flag Officer and a former Fortune 1000 C-suite executive, who successfully navigated a challenging dual-career journey, simultaneously serving as both a military officer and a senior corporate/legal executive over a nearly 30-year period.
During his long and distinguished career, A.B. helped lead four public and three private companies--spanning several highly regulated industries—through challenge, crisis, and change. Over much of that same period, he proudly served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, and over the course of his 37+ years in uniform, had the honor of shaping and leading several high-performing operational teams in demanding, high-stress and sometimes ambiguous environments. He also had the privilege of representing the United States internationally in multiple high-level engagements with various foreign militaries.
A.B. ultimately retired as a Rear Admiral. A.B. now serves on the boards of various corporate enterprises, as well as several non-profit organizations.
A.B. attributes much of his past success and achievements to his parents, who instilled in him the importance of education and a clear understanding of the many opportunities that can flow from one receiving a good education. A.B. earned his academic degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy (B.S. in Engineering), the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business (M.A. in Marketing), and The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law (J.D.).
