Bridgette Sopper Oliva | Royal Consort

Bridgette Sopper Oliva was born and raised in upstate New York and gradually worked her way south in search of a warmer climate, attending undergraduate school in Washington, D.C. at The Catholic University of America, and then attending law school at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin and settling in San Antonio in 1989.

Bridgette is a local attorney specializing in Labor and Employment law and general business law. She has practiced law in San Antonio since 1989. She began as a fledgling lawyer at the San Antonio office of Fulbright & Jaworski, practicing within the Labor and Employment and General Litigation sections. She moved to the firm, Butler & Binion, to start their Labor and Employment practice within the Business Law section within the firm. Thereafter, she opened her own law firm, Sopper Oliva & Associates, in 1998 and has continued to practice Labor and Employment law and General Business law, representing both small and large businesses. Bridgette is a certified mediator and arbitrator and also owns Alameda Healthcare, LLC, a corporation which manages medical office property.

Bridgette met her husband, Dr. Damaso (Danny) Oliva, Jr., a local psychiatrist and has been married to him since 1991. They raised two children together, Maureen Elizabeth and Daniel Patrick. Maureen is a forensic scientist for the Bexar County crime lab and is married to Nicolas Migliore, whom she met at Antonian College Prep High School. Their son, Daniel, also a graduate of Antonian College Prep, is an Account Executive for the San Antonio Missions Minor League Baseball Club.

Bridgette believes in giving back to, and supporting, her adopted community, the beautiful City of San Antonio. She has consistently served as an active member of several local and state-based women’s organizations throughout her career. Bridgette has served as a past president of both the San Antonio Women’s Chamber of Commerce and the Bexar County Women’s Political Caucus. She has also served on the Board of the Texas Women’s Political Caucus. She is currently a member of Lo Bello Women’s Association, an organization which, like the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation, raises money for scholarships for local students. She has spent time as a member of the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities here in San Antonio. Bridgette joined the San Antonio Fiesta Commission in 2020 and was elected as a Commissioner of the Fiesta Commission to work towards assuring that the various charitable and non-profit organizations involved in Fiesta are successful.

Whether it is to raise well-adjusted and successful children into adulthood or to build successful businesses, Bridgette and Danny Oliva have always worked as a team, supporting one another. Danny’s reign as Rey Feo LXXVII will be no different, with Bridgette supporting and helping every step of the way. Bridgette, a first generation college graduate, understands the value of obtaining an education and knows all too well the importance of the availability of scholarships for students. She would not have been able to pursue her career goals without the aid of scholarships for both her undergraduate and law school degrees. Bridgette strongly supports the efforts of Rey Feo and his Court, The Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation and the Rey Feo Consejo as they work together to make sure an education is within the grasp of the students of San Antonio.
